Hey sorry about the lack of posts, blee and i have been at a debate tournament all weekend and doodlah verc and james were all too busy getting shitfaced together to care about the blog so we havent updated in about four days... anyways, to make up for it i have something amazing for you so stop being angry at us.
So, very much like seeqpod, this website is going to change your life. Since ringtones cost about 8 dollars and that's complete bullshit, the internet obviously finds a way to say "fuck you" and make ringtones free. Jaimie Reed showed Phone Zoo to me about a year ago and I completely forgot about it until i got a new phone and all it had for ringtones were annoying beeping sounds. although you do have to go through the process of signing up and selecting your phone model, it's definitely worth it. Basically, once you are signed in, you go to the ringtones section and then click "create from file." You then pick any file from your itunes and lie and say it is not copywrite material so that the website will upload the file for you. You then can pick what 30 seconds of the song you want to be your ringtone, and then complete the process. Best part (besides being able to pick any song you want and it being free w/ no spam texts)- you don't need to connect your phone to the computer at all because the site sends the ringtone to your phone in a text message that you then save to your phone from there. Lastly, you can download any ringtone that anyone else has uploaded too. This is cool because there are some good songs on there, but it is also the most dissapointing part of the website, as the "top ringtones" area is extremely embarrassing and points out that the majority of users on this website are preteens (crazy frog is in the top downloads). Either way, cool ringtones make you a cool person so enjoy being cooler than the second before you checked this blog.
UPDATE: I've officially changed my ringtone to "call on me" by eric prytz, so it still works like a charm. Also, while youre on phonezoo take a second to check out this random profile i came across, Wonderboywillc and pay close attention to his status updates... when you change your status on a RINGTONE website 20+ times, and they include such phrases as "Please talk to me ladies..." you really need to reevaluate your life.
