This guy discusses his ideas on multiple historic events while under the influence of alcohol. He drinks, tells his rendition, pukes, and then drinks some more. I think that drunk history 2.5 is funnier but drunk history 2 leads into 2.5, naturally.

Finally a decent McCain song/video

Ill be honest, most campaign songs for either candidate suck. This one however, is truly inspiring. First of all, the woman on the left is partially invisible throughout most of the video since she wore a green sweater in front of a green screen. I'm sure this is some kind of brilliant artistic commentary on the environment but I haven't figured the whole thing out just yet. It's a bit over my head but ill sleep on it and see what I come up with. Then, at 1:45 there is some of the best harmonizing i've heard since the last time I sang someone "Happy Birthday." Political points? check. Artistry? Check. Musical talent? CHECK.

The best part though comes when these artists take the weak rain metaphor (seeing as rain is falling like McCain's poll numbers..) and make it work with the animation of raining McCain bodies at 1:50, complete with one of the singers washing her face with John McCains. (I apologize, but I can't resist making a "Don't let McCain fall or he'll break his hip! Because he's old!" joke here) This is one metaphor I can understand: McCain rhymes with rain! Boom. Deep.

Like anyone trying to make a good political point, they save their strongest argument for the end.. Concluding with a powerful line like "Im gonna go out, and let myself get, absolutely John McCain! John McCain!" is simply a masterstroke. I have to say I have been motivated and inspired by these ladies a thousand times more than any Obama video. take this one for instance:

Vote John McCain because his name sounds like rain. Honestly, that's the best reason I have heard so far.

So this site has a bunch of different things you can do. The one I linked to is the "television without context" section, which just shows random clips for about 10 seconds and then switches. Some are really funny, some are out of control, and some you just need to be in an altered mental state to find entertaining because they are so weird. It'll change channel on its own after the clip ends or you can click on the screen to change the channel if one with a creepy painted human face placed on a poodle in a cage comes up.. which it might.

at the top they have all the other sections listed, including planetarium, a dandelion that you can blow away with your webcam, a flickr photo random slideshow, games, and other cool timewastey stuff that i didnt get to check out. I jacked this game from the site, and im sure you are all familiar with it.. (arrows to move, z or up to rotate, spacebar to speed up, if you need to know more rules you are kind of a tool but you can look on the neave site)

The Best Page in The Universe

I saw this site a few years ago http://maddox.xmission.com/ but it was just brought to my attention again. Look over some of the articles that he writes, they will make you laugh or piss you off. My favorite part is where little kids have drawn some pictures with crayons and markers of dogs, firetrucks and bunnies to name a few. On the page the guy grades each drawing and writes a sentence or two commenting on what he has seen. I don't think that I'm a huge douche (I guess that's a little biased) but I crack up every time that I read what this grown man has said about these kids artwork. Enjoy..

Free ringtones of any song you want... seriously

Hey sorry about the lack of posts, blee and i have been at a debate tournament all weekend and doodlah verc and james were all too busy getting shitfaced together to care about the blog so we havent updated in about four days... anyways, to make up for it i have something amazing for you so stop being angry at us.

So, very much like seeqpod, this website is going to change your life. Since ringtones cost about 8 dollars and that's complete bullshit, the internet obviously finds a way to say "fuck you" and make ringtones free. Jaimie Reed showed Phone Zoo to me about a year ago and I completely forgot about it until i got a new phone and all it had for ringtones were annoying beeping sounds. although you do have to go through the process of signing up and selecting your phone model, it's definitely worth it. Basically, once you are signed in, you go to the ringtones section and then click "create from file." You then pick any file from your itunes and lie and say it is not copywrite material so that the website will upload the file for you. You then can pick what 30 seconds of the song you want to be your ringtone, and then complete the process. Best part (besides being able to pick any song you want and it being free w/ no spam texts)- you don't need to connect your phone to the computer at all because the site sends the ringtone to your phone in a text message that you then save to your phone from there. Lastly, you can download any ringtone that anyone else has uploaded too. This is cool because there are some good songs on there, but it is also the most dissapointing part of the website, as the "top ringtones" area is extremely embarrassing and points out that the majority of users on this website are preteens (crazy frog is in the top downloads). Either way, cool ringtones make you a cool person so enjoy being cooler than the second before you checked this blog.

UPDATE: I've officially changed my ringtone to "call on me" by eric prytz, so it still works like a charm. Also, while youre on phonezoo take a second to check out this random profile i came across, Wonderboywillc and pay close attention to his status updates... when you change your status on a RINGTONE website 20+ times, and they include such phrases as "Please talk to me ladies..." you really need to reevaluate your life.

DJ Earworm did the mashup and if you go to DJ Earthworm's Website you can find a bunch of others. I don't think they are as good as Girl Talk, but there are still some with merit.

So im pumped for the cd and this song to come out. hopefully he lays off the autotune a bit more than in Love Lockdown... but either way Kanye's "808s and Heartbreaks" is coming out November 25, giving you plenty of time to mentally prepare for the Lil Wayne-esque string of Kanye #1 hits that will be played over and over again until we inevitably hate them (seriously, i can't hear lollipop again for about a year). Im praying the album gets leaked this month so we can all enjoy it at our leisure and be done with it before radio and tv can interfere. enjoy the snippet though, this song sounds amazing and ive already found it stuck in my head without even hearing the entire thing.
