New Gambino

New single from Childish Gambino. NYC radio played it over the weekend and the listeners went wild requesting it like crazy. I still think Freaks and Geeks is better but glad to hear he's on the radio.

Thumbs up/Thumbs Down?

Sammy Adams: Your Boy from Boston

I hope you guys have already heard of him, but if not here's one great track from an upcoming rapper from Wayland. I can't stop playing this song lately.

Three Six Mafia, Flo-Rida, Sean Kingston, TIESTO

The video is some bullshit thrown together by the youtube user that posted it, but the song is sick and I haven't found the audio file yet so I had to include it. Let me know what you guys think.

Also that cinemati site never works for me, so if it works for anybody else who feels like nabbing the audio file and posting it, I'd appreciate that

Video Makes the Song (for once)

Big Sean - Getcha Some Music Video and Video Code

songs good, videos sick. 1:06-1:17. fucking innovative

I Post What I Want

A while back pat was creaming jeans over the new killers album. I have since discovered a Tiesto remix that I very much enjoy, so I'm going to post it even though some (or all) of you don't really like that genre. Give it a listen, it's worth it.

Spaceman - Tiesto remix

Senegal Jam

This song is all the rage in the clubs in Senegal and people go nuts when it comes on...its pretty sick. Bump it at 53 or wherever you are.

The beats don't stop

Hey guys,
I'm working on a few stories, so look for that soon. In the meantime, here is some music I just found that I'm betting most of you don't have. The mashups work incredibly well and the whole mixtape is great for chilling out (maybe while playing halo). Download that ish.
OJAYZIS mixtape

Young Khalifa Man

So I've been really into Wiz Khalifa lately so I thought it would be worthwhile to post one of his earlier mixtapes that I'm assuming most people don't have. It's very, very good, so listen to it right away.
Prince of the City 2

And here's a pretty sweet freestyle of his. I think at least the first half is written down so freestyle might be a stretch, but I still think it's good so don't worry about it.

UPDATE: I added another video after the Read More

Who hated Kanye's singing album? Well prepare yourself...

THIS IS SO BAD.. anyone make it past a minute? i couldnt even listen to the whole thing once. When it came up on shuffle while i was skiing earlier, in a panic i immediately pulled to the side of the trail, braved the freezing cold and took off my gloves, and struggled through my many layers to find the fast forward button. unfortunately, when i loathe a song this much it means verc and the radio will like it... great.

To get that bad taste out of our mouths here is a wayne song ive been hanging onto since september (wtf?) without showing a soul- remember the old good l'il wayne? I honestly haven't heard a decent verse from the guy in ages.

Drake Ft. Lil Wayne- Ransom

also, i put all my white folks get crunk songs in a zip file for kyle to download, so if anyone else wants in on that here you go:
White Folks zip. It's not all dance, its got a bunch of sweet hip hop in there too. warning, it will take a while to download but just leave it going while you get dinner or something

.

As long as we're in the musical spirit

Girl Talk's main rival, Easter Egg, dropped an album in 2008 that is amazing. I think it might be better than Feed the Animals, though it could just be because I heard Feed the Animals too much. Either way, this is a fantastic album, called Jackin' For Beats, which you can all download here:

Easter Egg - Jackin' For Beats

Outkast makes some great appearances, and some of the same vocal segments Girl Talk uses are in there. Some of the tracks are shorter though, so it really functions best as a full album (Girl Talk has more singles).

These songs are going to smack you in the face

First off, listen to the lyrics of this song and tell me it doesnt remind you of weekend nights at 53 Meadow (it's not included in the zip file so you have to download it separately):
3 Am (Klever Remix)- T!Katz

So I did something different this time. I created an archive of all the songs I am putting below so if you are lazy and don't want to download each song individually, then you can download this zip file and then go through them on your itunes and decide which to keep. I know, I'm too good to you guys.. zip of the following 6 songs

Alternatively, if you wish to sample the merchandise before you download, then here you go:

-2 Cousin Cole Remixes similar to the Drink N My 2 Step remix b lee posted way back this summer:

Good Girls- Wale This one is great.
Throw Some D's- Kanye (Courtesy of Ben Welb)

-This song gets sick in a minute but its weird (aka not in english) at first- trust me give it a minute and you'll love it. B lee- it is right up your ally.
Høre Tell På Jorda (feat. M.O.P.)- Halvdan Sivertsen

-A new soulja boi tell me: girls go wild for this song
Kiss Me Through The Phone- Soulja Boi

-A cool beat featuring Travis from Gym Class Heroes:
Snow Globe- Mic Terror

-And lastly, for my girl Julez "LolzCatz" Tam, a banger that I was too lazy to put up and now the radio beat me and played it but i'm putting it up anyways.
By My Side- Jadakiss

.

The Killers- Day & Age

I put this online for a friend and decided I might as well throw it on the blog if anyone wants it. It is an awesome album, one of the better ones ive heard in a while although unfortunately its quite short.

DOWNLOAD THAT ISHHH

White Folks Get Crunk

I know some people already know about it, but I recently downloaded a shit-ton of their stuff and I figured I would post some of my favorites. These tracks make people go wild and were probably the reason why we got alcohol strikes last night:

Don't Cha Take My Sugar Home - DJ Real Juicy Re-Upped

Gimme Freaks (Rolling Stones vs Mog) - DJ Earworm

New (old) Girl Talk Songs

This is a girl talk remix of a song by Grizzly Bear called Knife. It was released individually through pitchfork a year ago, but no one i know has ever mentioned it so i guess it's new to us.

also, it's awesome.

Download: Grizzly Bear- Knife (Girl Talk remix)

This other one is not as good in my opinion, but way chiller than more Girl Talk songs so check it out.

Download: Peter Bjorn and John- Let's Call it Off (Girl Talk remix)

Furthermore, Girl Talk also has an collaboration project with Simian Mobile Disco called Trey Told 'Em (myspace page here), which has about 5 songs. My favorite of which is:

I Believe (Trey Told Em remix) - Simian Mobile Disco
